It was a pretty special day too, driving along the Amalfi coast. The haze that later turned to clouds works well in this photo to give distance to the rocky coast.
It was an incredible structure, and it is something of a shame that it got the name "the Belgian waffle". However, as I remember, the creators were from Belgium and the grid looks like a waffle-cone...hard to blame the public for the nickname that spontaneously developed.
What a great year that was. So great to see it still on Google Earth and here on panoramio...I may upload my own pix from said event.

Wonderful cave. I have the same problem to get a good photo in the boat. Unfortunately that nice column does not seen from a fixed ground angle.
