Gowans Hill is part of the Stirling Castle Estate and has very nice walkways around this hilly area a footstep away from the castle. On one off the small hills in this tranquel setting is the protected beheading stone and has two cannons facing new stirling city. My dog sits on a local famouse viewing stone overlooking the small village of Raploch and views to the Trossachs (well know for its tartan industrie)

The junction off Broad stret and Bow street stirling. The cannons were once situated in the middle of Broad stret along with the Mercat Unicorn. These were the first line of defence on the road to Stirling Castle.

Broad street stirling about a week after 2006 blizard. The shop on the corner is a long well established grocery localy known as kieths shop. The shop is well stocked for locals and visitors alike and the owners and staff are very friendly.

The TollBooth Building was once the town jail and was recently changed to an entertianment center for differant cultural music and diverse acts. The building accomadates a restaurant. On interior reconstruction an image of what apears to be two ghost had been photographed. This photo shows a snow blizard we had in the early months of 2006.
