Strictly speaking these boats are not barges. They are narrowboats. "Secondus Navis" can now be seen moored at Todmorden, West Yorkshire.
My boat "Lo-Shen" was moored next to "Secondus Navis" when she was at Aspley

Really nice picture. it's a shame these historic building's are left to get into such a state, while certain area's (not Church) of Hyndburn are referbished ! and the council have the arrogance to put the sign for the referbishment nezt to these building's IN CHURCH !!
