The boys and I landed here as part of our LOTR helo tour as well. We're @ 10,000; it's -3 C. With the adrenaline rush, I never noticed. This remains my most vivid part of the tour with Simon; maybe of all NZ!!

Another part of our LOTR helo tour with Simon of Wanaka Sightseeing.
My sons and I call this the "Bird Following Forest" because as we walked over the moss covered forest floor small birds hovered right behind us to feast on insects that we kicked up as we tramped along.
