We decided to go out for our anniversary a few years back. The city has an interesting infrastructure (bridges & tunnels) and sits at the confluence of two great rivers (Monongahela & Allegheny) to form the Ohio. Thanks for your comments neongreenkid & charlie

yes I happened to walking past this Lynton graveyard and noticed this black cat perching on it, cats seek out warm suntrap spots and the cement from the headstone attarcts and holds the heat for him, he also is eyeing around for field mice to catch !! he also might be guarding the departed!!

classical colonial brick architecture combining the best of both British and American architectural elements, Americans used shutters far more than their British counterparts, and that influence seems to have come from the french settlers in America, where the French still use shutters far more than the British

they call this " Mock Tudor " over here in England, exposed beams which are not really stress functional, added as a decoration, the originals all were part of the integral structure and everything was pinned with wooden pegs, thoughout the years , they sag from left to right and results are sometimes quite funny to look at !! Turret is also an additonal decorative part of the building to give it a castle like look.

This design incorporates a twin end chimney arrangement, very similar to the Marshall house on Marshallville rd, just outside Tuckahoe, N. J. , worked on that house from 1971-1974, exact type of dormers, front door was on the left ,kitchens are at the bck end ... but similar room arrangements I'm sure.cira 1840-1860, late Georgian
