This is a very old tradition here. People go up to the mountain with a big hand-made torch, they build a bonfire where they light their torches at night, and then they go back down to the village. It is supposed to burn all the bad things during the shortest night of the year, around June the 21st (in Boí, it happens exactly the 23rd at night, Saint John)
