Nice photo, but that is actually Tanada Ridge, miles southeast of Mt Sanford, which would be visible from that same spot and appearing far closer.

Hi,

That's Phelan Creek in your photo. It flows into the Delta River at the north end of Rainbow Ridge.

Nice photo, except the Musk Ox Farm is on the Glenn Highway in Palmer, not Wasilla.

The photo is entitled "Gold Dredge, Fairbanks" yet the location shown is hundreds of miles south of Fairbanks and is blocked. This looks like the dredge at Chatanika.

This is one of the two places to purchase fuel in Deadhorse. This is on the west side, just north of the airport. Both work the same - you go inside the "shack" and swipe your credit card, choose the pump that dispenses the fuel you need, then go out and pump your tank full. If you want a receipt, go back inside and swipe your card again. Be sure to follow the directions, and DON'T SPILL ANY FUEL!

Thank you! The effort of locating photos from a previous [winter] drive to Alaska was daunting. For the summer drive to Alaska I bought a "Photo Tracker" from AMOD. ($60.00) It is a separate GPS logger. You synch the clocks of the Camera and the computer, and the provided software applies the GPS coordinates to the JPEG files. It was worth every penny!
