Photo style: outdoors, night, water, slow shutters, black + white. I live mostly in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, a Great place to relax and explore nature. Since buying my first good camera for scuba diving in 2005, I have learned to observe nature, composition and light that it compels me to get outside to enjoy bad weather and exhausting hikes to find new views of the country. Contrast the stark beauty of Saskatchewan with its endless sky and abandoned farm structures and machinery.

Thank you, John. I left the trailhead at 7am and arrived at the Lake shortly after the sunrise. A little bit later than I hoped for, but the light was still good.

In 2014, this car was either stolen or hauled away.

This petroglyph resembles a 16-legged insect or other invertebrate. Next time I will bring some chalk to better emphasize the image.

Again, Mt Washington is just to the north of the Comox Valley, perhaps 100km away from this location.

Nice picture, but Mount Washington is many kilometres to the north.

I was there 07 June 2014 and about 50 feet of that railing was hanging in air after ground washed away.

I saw that plaque 07 June 2014 but was unable to read it. Thanks for the image.

Must be fit ... and must endure loose surface and tumbling stones from hikers above you.

Here is the passage to the next room, only for those whose bodies are as thick as playing card. Crawl on your belly and bring extra lamp as there is zero light available at this point.
