All these pictures were taken during my 5 yrs, 40,000 miles of riding on my Yamaha Majesty scooter, mostly in California but I also have some pics from Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Recently I've added photos from my other travels. Also I've added a few pictures from Japan taken in the mid 1980's. South Korea is also included. Most recently I've included pictures from me and my sons trip to Japan and Korea.

I zoomed in on this shot to bring the road closer and get that roller coaster feel in the picture.

That's Pacifica way in the distance

The China Cabin is the social saloon from the trans-Pacific side wheeler SS China which was launched in 1866. This elegant room was removed in 1886 just before the ship was burned for scrap in Tiburon cove. In the 1980's, the Landmarks Society spent eight years restoring the cabin to its former grandeur. http://www.landmarks-society.org/rentals/china_cabin.php

Heading west just passed Lower Rattlesnake Rd. If you ride a motorcycle or scooter you have to give this road a try. 140 miles of fun from Red Bluff to Hwy 101.

Taken from Lands End Trail near the USS San Francisco Memorial up the street from the Cliff House.

From Red Bluff to Hwy 101 it's about 140 miles. Headed westbound from Red Bluff- the road begins a slow rise in elevation.  The road winds back and forth in a spirited ride- a definite sportbike paradise without the dangers of canyon riding to worry about.  (At least in this eastern portion.) The road hugs the terrain.  Roller coaster style. It's a Motorcycle paradise!

I searched Google Map and this corner is a Texaco gas station and the James Dean billboard is gone.
