slakingfool Living in downtown Des Moines since March of 2006; working there for the better part of the last twenty-plus years. When free of work I enjoy television, surfing the web, walking the earth, cooking, libations, and movies with friends. A committed non-driver I’ve learned to get around this world without the immediate gratification that four wheels and a tank of gas provides. I travel as time and finances allow, mostly via train. Many friends peppered across the American Southwest, so I try to visit when possible.
