There is a photo by tinkers of the blocks hidden by the wall of blocks.

We used to go inside them when we were fishing, They were quite warm. With a driftwood fire going inside,

The pub was alongside the Glamorganshire Canal the line of which is behind the fence on the left of the photo.

A track diagram for the kilns shows a rail line running east between the kilns terminating about 100m beyond them. A tramway ran in front of the kilns and onto the beach to collect the pebbles used to make the lime.
