Yes, lovely photo. I must start telling a tram story or two. I have one that includes the train crossing Main Street etc but I have quite a few tram memories. I'd forgotten about the controller's hut.

Somerville House was founded in 1899 and was formerly known as the Brisbane High School for Girls. 'Cumbooquepa'(the native word for lagoons )is the residence built by the the Hon.Thomas Blackett Stephens.Somerville House opened it's doors here in 1920.The school is well known for it's high academic standards and many high achieving sportswomen. The school was used as the headquarters for Gen. Macarthur and the Army of the United States during the Second World War 1942-45.

Isn't this just the most disgusting building you've ever seen. It's poorly designed too... in summer, they have to have the airconditioning set to 20 degrees just to keep it below 25 degrees because it heats up... like the pressure cookers they used out the front. Ironic really, isn't it.

Hahaha - I think Panaramio may have a problem with this photo's geographic location - its moved over 2000 kms since I saw it last when it was about 50 kms out of position.
