Shalom/Hello Zvi and Maribel. Como vai, Maribel? Eu posso falar um poco de portugues e tambem um poco de hebreu.

I am in the USA. My Grandfather of sacred memory, Abram Gadelowicz, emigrated to the US from Sochachew in 1912. He was received by Cousins with the last namem of Burchman who lived in Manhattan in New York City. Abe had two brothers whom we assume died in the Holocaust. Abe lived until the late 1960s when he died in New York City at the age of 73.

If you come across anyone in Brazil or in Israel (is that where you are Zvi?)with the last name of Gedal, Gedaliahu, Gedalowitz, Gedalovitz, please let me know. Also, I am always looking for the Burchman, Mensch (from Austrian), or Daktor (from Ukraine), Weissman or Wiseman (from Kamenetz-Podolsky)family lines.

Shalom Aleichem and Todah Rabah! Ate logo, e muito obrigado!

These buildings were built in 1955. The address of the one across the square is Rybna #7. I lived there from 1955 to 1980. It was a north-west corner of the ghetto.

W chwili obecnej w tej synagodze w Lesku jest muzeum - ekspozycja dość mizerna. Odwiedziłem to miejsce w 07'2005.
