This is the Liberty Statue, also called Freedom Statue, at the end of the Citadella. You can find this place
on top of the highest hill (Gellért Hill, 235 m) in Buda (west Budapest). The monument is 14 meters tall and
was erected in 1947 by the Soviet Red Army to commemorate their victory in World War II.
Besides this monument Gellért Hill has the best view in Budapest.
