Upon returning to campus I was shocked to discover Film Processing, as well as Bates, had gone out of business. During my undergrad we were expected to photograph our own work, so I had spent and extensive amount of time (and money of course) at Film Processing to develop my slides.
I think this was the first instance I felt as though I had fallen behind with technology, or was ill-prepared for this transition with relation to my field. This is also the point when I realized I would be playing catch up with technology more than likely for the remainder of my life.
