The domes really look beautiful after they are polished. The labor involved is quite expensive. All done by hand, I imagine.
I remember going through the town but not venturing southeast of the town. I saw a young boy with a fishing pole walking from that area and crossing through the center of town on his way home.
The Church Steeples are really shiny, they most used some kind of polish I'm guessing. One of My High School Teachers attended this church and school her Father was the principal.

Yes it is, although there called Tornado Sirens in the Midwest and south. There really called civil defense sirens.
