Actually it represents the killing of demon by sri Rama. When Sri Rama and Smt. Seetha were on exile, Surphanakha, the sister of Ravan being ill treated by Sri Lakshmana. Then Ravan sends his father-in-law Maricha to camaflouse as Golden Deer to attrat Seetha and divert Sri Rama from her company so that he can Carry Seetha. sri Rama chasisng the deer could not catch. So after a long chase Sri Rama kills the deer. The demon Maricha then dies crying name of sri Lakshmana and Seetha. The figure shows half of the body as Deer and the body of demon emerging from the body of the deer.
