hey ... thanks Natalia... what does STona mean... is that the town...?
just north of Verona, Italy ... or 100 miles north of Bologna, Italy
i suggest you get a new one... ever hear of metal wheels and tubeless tires...? May we suggest you invest in some...?
No really, i should know ... ilived there August 1978 thru May 1980... in Hesston... & we drove over to Newton at midnight to get fresh hot donuts... at some place that was very popular among the college age kids from Hesston College ... i was never so glad to get that first job flying River Rafters out of a small village west of Grand Junction Colorado into Utah ... Green River... all 780 people... did that job 2 summers.. & each winter moved back to Newto & worked at Newton Airport... the summers 3 & 4 was in Moab still flying ... only for the compation... then i finally landed the job i thought i was after.. in Nairobi, Kenya.... only to find that there was an internal fight on my hands ... & that turned into a night-dream ... i then went to work in the Comoros Islands... doing air photography ... with a guy from Nairobi.... another from Tanzania.... both worked for the UN & we ended up stay 3 months i believe it was... learned to scuba dive with a real honest to goodness mercenary .... then the end came... & i flew the old Cessna back to it's owner in Nairobi... via direct Dar-es-Salaam coast then followed the coast up to Mombasa... i think they were a bit surprised ... & finally let me enter...'there was a rather large Swiss made camera that took the whole of the back of this 'little' Cessna @06 turbo charged 310 HP 6 cylinder... i collected my $3000 for my work in Dollars & then started to look for more work as the plane i had been hopeful of flying ... did not pan out... there was a Swiss lady 'Agie' who was flying into Somalia with a Piper Navajo... (twin) she took me along... the owner lived in Nairobi... that plane i remember had a registration of 5Y-ALA.... we would fly east till we landed in Mogadishu ... then fly west a bit till we landed at an old Russian airbase in a small village where the Somali President had let the these Mercenaries run their training from that field.. While staying in what was called the Provincial Palace.. looked nothing like a palace to me ... just like a 3 story block building.! I never took that job... Aggie was seeing one of the pilots... i wonder what ever happened to her...
Ciao Sergio! Thanks a lot for visit & fine comment!
