Yep - had to walk round a bit until the island was in the lower right third of the shot and the hill on the upper left balanced it out.
Glad you think some of the shots are hitting the mark Si!!
0.7 stops underexposure often stops the highlights burning out and you can always get it back later. These days I underexpose everything as a matter of course. If in doubt, you can check the histogram behaves itself on the right-hand side.
Ah, nothing has changed much then I see.
I recommend the brewery tour Jeff most fascinating. Take some pics inside for us won't ya?
We're here in Cockermouth all week Si. Off to Skiddaw and Basenthwaite today if the weather holds up.
Well Jethro, I'm swapping these architectural delights for the beauty of the Lake District later today. The challenge is to see if I can get any shots that haven't been done (better) a million times before. I don't hold out much hope really!!
Aye happen they grow on you unless you happen to own one and it needs pentin' !
I bet they sell a lot of black and white pent in Stockport!
That's about the extent of Brookbottom and it's down a mile-long, single-track road and it's a dead end when you get there and it has a pub which against all the odds still serves a decent pint and food. Astonishing. I love Derbyshire!!
I thought I'd posted another robber fly somewhere.....
Thank you Sandro and Christina for visiting my gallery.
