Der Baum hat sich einen schönen Platz ausgesucht. L7 und beste Grüße, Helmer
It is Providence Grove, (not Providence House), I live here.
This is outside, but at night.
Hard to believe we're looking at 14th century building. Masterful builders and labourers. Some might have been my relations!
fascination for fonts and this is of pagan&Christian virtues?
Traced 4th Great Gran Elizabeth Groom baptised here July 1811.
Even my husband has DNA Churm showing up around this special font...
This is amongst my favourite photpgraphs.
The gentlemen on the footplate knew I was pointing a camera at them, which is why they blew lots os steam out of the ejectors and cylinder drain-cocks (as you can see in the background) then added extra "chuff" as they cam out from under the bridge.
Its believed to be a toll house, the front bit anyway, from the late 1700's. Nobody is really sure but its location on what wouldhave been the main route out of the village towards the south adds to that possiblity.
Currently owned by my inlaws who are trying to renovate it.
I don't know whether the whole globe turns, or just the Y2K arrow and doves. Watch this space...
