Curate's conversations

This is amongst my favourite photpgraphs. The gentlemen on the footplate knew I was pointing a camera at them, which is why they blew lots os steam out of the ejectors and cylinder drain-cocks (as you can see in the background) then added extra "chuff" as they cam out from under the bridge.

Its believed to be a toll house, the front bit anyway, from the late 1700's. Nobody is really sure but its location on what wouldhave been the main route out of the village towards the south adds to that possiblity. Currently owned by my inlaws who are trying to renovate it.

I don't know whether the whole globe turns, or just the Y2K arrow and doves. Watch this space...

Muy bonita foto!!!

Hi Very early Stone grave marker.L/1 Regards. Bob

Hi This village church that I spotted in your gallery Looks interesting a little over the top maybe.L/1. Regards Bob

Bobsky, thank you for these two likes. I have no connection with Weston Lullingfields (other than it isn't very far from my home village), but the picture of Lee Brockhurst is significant to me as I was, until last year, curate of that parish.

Hello Curate I spotted this small but beautiful village church in your gallery, its a nicely taken shot from the South East.LIKE. Regards Bob

Hi Curate. Thanks for that I have updated my description on the photo. I have looked at your photos and they are very good, a bit like mine with lots of churches and weather vanes.

Best Regards From Liverpool, Pete.
