Bobsky, thank you for these two likes.
I have no connection with Weston Lullingfields (other than it isn't very far from my home village), but the picture of Lee Brockhurst is significant to me as I was, until last year, curate of that parish.
I spotted this small but beautiful village church in your gallery, its a nicely taken shot from the South East.LIKE.
Hi Curate. Thanks for that I have updated my description on the photo. I have looked at your photos and they are very good, a bit like mine with lots of churches and weather vanes.
Best Regards From Liverpool, Pete.
Thanks, Tim. This one's is between Wem and Lee Brockhurst, and it and Lee Bridge are Thomas Telford bridges; there are a number of such bridges over the Roden in this part of Shropshire.
Spenford Bridge (see my other local bridge photo), on the boundary between Wem and Loppington parishes, is slightly later.
I learnt to ring there, in 1970. A beautiful Taylor's eight.
Thanks , I will correct location - I got the name from somewhere (http://www.discoverdarwin.co.uk/quantum-leap/) as the name of the sculpture ("to mark Darwin’s bicentenary in 2009"
I like all the passages you get in Shrewsbury....
Easy - just click on the title above the picture on this page, and re-type it as "Welsh Bridge".
It was erected as a broken column, which is typical for the death of the eldest son.
