I walked here when it was flooded once and you could not see those black lights

The photo is Queensland Alumina which process raw [orange] bauxite into [white] alumina powder - later to be made into aluminium

No. This effect is all post-production, I suppose you would say.

I used Photoshop (CS2) to create this effect now as 'fake tilt shift'. I'm not sure how this is done using traditional photographic techniques other than through the use of a special lens.
