Yeah, Dave, good job we made Shuttleworth 'cos the next day they didn't fly at nearby Woburn and Sywell 'cos of the wind. Glad it wasn't windy over the Moehne Dam!!! Jaunting to Surrey this Saturday, "Dunsfold Wings & Wheels", plenty of flying inc. the Lancs again!!! Watch this space. They're at Waddington today to join up with the Vulcan but it'll be a bun-fight, all the enthusiasts will want to see this one, so I reluctantly gave it a miss. I'll have to settle for Youtube as someone will post it by tomorrow!
Ha ha ....I say Geoff.... I guess they wanted to be in on the action.....
My wife's pic of the sunset scene!
The superb 50-piece National Symphony Orchestra performing while the aircraft did their stuff! When the two Lancs did their display, of course, the orchestra struck up with The Dambusters March!!! Sublime.
And finally one of me sunsets!
The orchestra played the "James Bond Theme" in recognition of the sneaky beaky exploits of the Lysander in taking on the hazardous task of getting the SOE secret agents into France to join up with the Resistance in WWII.
