At last my first pic of the superb Red Kite! They are plentiful in Aylesbury but I've never seen one in Luton! It is a medium-large bird of prey of the family Accipitridae which includes Eagles, Buzzards and Harriers. It is endemic to the Western Palearctic region of Europe and northwest Africa. It is resident in the milder parts of its range in western Europe and northwest Africa but birds from northeastern and central Europe winter further south and west, reaching south to Turkey.
Another view of the beach and lake.
We preferred to get about on bikes!
Quaint little display near the bird-feeding centre!
View of the lake.
Our lodge at Center Parc! Four bedrooms all en suite, games room, hot-tub, sauna and steam room! Superb!
A regular visitor to our garden.
Beautiful visitors to my garden feeding on the niger seed!
Iv'e read bits.n.bobs about Bletchley and the people you describe above....weren't they simply amazing !.... apparently the Germans would frequently alter their codes and add extra cogs ? to make the codes even more difficult to decipher.... and Bletchley would get cracking and start all over again..... Yeah.. brilliant people...
