.............and another view!
A view of the harbour here.
The memorial to the Newquay dead of the First and Second World Wars and one recently added for Afghanistan. Very peaceful up there.
Mecca for the surfers is here! Alas my surfing days are long-gone if they ever existed!!!
And a view of Newquay harbour. When we were here three years ago there were turtles in the harbour but not any more!
One of many Newquay beaches.
............and the waterfall in the Cove!
...........and the cave in Merlin's Cove!
See previous. A view from the top!
This is a medieval fortress situated on the peninsula of Tintagel island adjacent to the village of Tintagel in Cornwall. It has long been associated with Arthurian legends beginning in the 12th century when Geoffrey of Monmouth in his mythical account of British history described tintagel as the place of Arthur's conception! Yeah right! So we have Merlin Cove with a picturesque waterfall and a superb cave. A word of warning, the steps to the top nearly did for me but I am nearly 70!!! Lots of rare breed sheep up there with their little lambs which seem fearless running around right on the edge of the precipice!!!
