The latest addition to the museum and brought over from BAe Brough.
The WW2 control tower at the Yorkshire Air Museum.
This is the largest independent air museum in Britain and the location of this Allied Forces Air Memorial. It is situated on the old RAF Bomber Command Station at Elvington near York. It is well worth a visit especially on a "Thunder Day" when the Nimrod, Victor and Buccaneer do their stuff on the runway!
Our train approaching Bedale from the end of the line, Leeming Bar, en route to take us back to Redmire.
This is the western terminus of the Wensleydale Railway serving the village of Redmire. We travelled up to Bedale and back!
..........and finally the Lower Falls.
This is Middle Falls seen from the north bank.
This is the Upper Falls, one of a set of three waterfalls carved out of the River Ure, stretching for a mile. Apparently when the weather is very wet it is even more spectacular!
Actually went to the location of this diving club to snap this aircraft. Another Hunter resides in the lake for the divers to peruse, with a tank and other military hardware!
Our base for a week in Yorkshire.
