By Eckington or what!!!

This is a commemorative tower built from 1817-1819 in memorial to Admiral Horatio Nelson. The Grade 1 monument, correctly called the Norfolk Naval Pillar, is in the style of a Doric column topped by six caryatid figures that support a statue of Britannia proudly standing atop a globe. Funny thing is we've been to Great Yarmouth dozens of times and this column is clearly visible from the Pleasure Beach fun park where we always end up but I've never bothered to have a look at it before!

Dave, we all reckon at West Ham that WE won the World Cup!!!!!

Agree with his policies or not.......I like owd' Boris.......simply for his haircut !!......

Very sad.../...According to news info'... the new stadium is only 2.4 miles away.....It still looks a grand piece of work for a venue tho'.. a real shame to think its going.

Yeah'.. definitely Geoff.... I can well imagine a lump in the throat effect.

Another view of Mecca!!!

West Ham United's Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold's rides. If you've got it spend it, I suppose!

Situated in the forecourt at the front of the ground with mementos of dear-departed Hammers fans.

Stands in the entrance to the stand bearing his name, the greatest-ever Hammer. Will be re-located to the new home in the Olympic Stadium when the ground is demolished this year.
