G Lokey's conversations

Iv'e read bits.n.bobs about Bletchley and the people you describe above....weren't they simply amazing !.... apparently the Germans would frequently alter their codes and add extra cogs ? to make the codes even more difficult to decipher.... and Bletchley would get cracking and start all over again..... Yeah.. brilliant people...

Thanks Geoff... lovely place... going back next June/July 2016.....
Keep good and all the best from.... Dave.

Yeah Geoff !... cor blimey !... I must tell yer !....I went snorkeling from that point...((in a wet suit !!..btw))... and saw naked folks we knew and had spoken to from earlier...over drinks...it weren't half awkward..(for me that is).....I mean to say...'''where''' do you cast your eyes while chatting ?..so I pretended I'd not seen em'....by eck !

I was a cipher operator in the Royal Signals and incredibly despite this place being on my doorstep this was the first time I have visited! Oh well, better late than never!

A view towards the Mansion across the lake.

This is a memorial which commemorates the three Polish mathematicians, Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski and Jerzy Rozycki who helped crack the Enigma code which shortened the war by two or more years.

This memorial was opened by the Queen in 2011.

Such a beauty.. nice one!

Great shot of a summers day in York. I like the hdr look too. Must have been a great little trip Dave.
