No problem at all Val.
Good shot! IMHO Antarctica has the best rock art of all I have seen.
This trypot was used for rendering oil from the blubber of sea elephants (elephant seals). Whaling vessels from New London, CT and other ports would land crews who would stay on the island for prolonged periods of time, rafting the oil in barrels to the waiting vessels. The oil was virtually indistinguishable from whale oil. The scraps of blubber left over after the oil was rendered out were skimmed off and used as fuel, since there were no trees available.
Very interesting and beautiful!
