I enjoy surfing, family life and taking photos as a Hobby. I started here on panoramio to show the world a little about my small corner of the world. I hope you enjoy the photos and come away knowing a bit more about this world we live in and how different this part of the world is to the rest of Europe and most other parts of the world. I have turned the camera back 34 years with a D600 full frame camera enjoying it. Hi Steve, aye star nights like this are one in a million up here in Northern England. Most of the time we have just too many low thick clouds full of rain, usually coming west from the Atlantic and so hitting me even more than David and when that is not the case then we still have loads of light pollution from towns or major road systems. There are places though that have less rain and light, the Lincolnshire east coast proved that the other week. We still have to go a long way and be pretty lucky to see sights like this however. Scotland would be good except for the 300 days a year of heavy rain too!!! This in no way, belittles the great shot you have here Steve which demonstrates not only your great skies but your talent and equipment too.
