I come from a back ground of parents who loved to take photo and still very much a part of their lives and I guess you could say its rubbed off. I enjoy surfing, family life and taking photos as a Hobby. I started here on panoramio to show the world a little about my small corner of the world. I hope you enjoy the photos and come away knowing a bit more about this world we live in and how different this part of the world is to the rest of Europe and most other parts of the world. I have turned the camera back 34 years with a D600 full frame camera enjoying it. Current lens FYI Nikon 50mm F1.4 G Nikon 105mm F2.8 G Nikon 24-120mm F4 G Nikon 70-200mm F4 G Samyang 14mm F2.8 still enjoy helping other to enjoy photography as well. NO MORE INVITES TO NEW GROUPS I DON'T HAVE THE TIME ANY MORE, NOT UNLESS I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND YOUR GROUP IS JUST UP MY ALLY, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MEET WITH REJECTION.

Berend terrible birds they move so fast and dont come close DX crop mode 120mm=180mm and did not change a lens. Steve

Berend mum & dad live in Auckland so you are right. love this bird never expected this in a million years even got to sit down on the track to get closer. Dad even opened up another patch and the bird hoped in to look for grubs. one of the best. Steve

Drew & Berend this is using the FX ability to switch to DX crop and get extra length out of the lens. sadly not many birds about and not a lot of wind for them to soar on but i got one only. thanks Steve

Berend yes they are in OZ as well. Steve

Berend the spur shows on other photos but they where not a group like this. Steve

Berend these trees are very large i had to get 16-35 to get it in. thanks Steve

Berend a me photo not a google earth photo. as they have stopped approving i am putting on more of "my" shots rather than google earth ones. they are just letting us die slowly. Steve

Berend that is an island Karewa was not the best it has ever been but you take what you can get. Steve

Berend the clouds made the picture and all the horizontal lines and shades of grey. glad you like it. Steve

Stuart, Drew & Berend NZ i believe would be very much the same as tasie but for the trees. a beautiful spot but was a very dull rainy day only small NZ native trout would be here none of the big oversea ones. this and all the ones about auckland where dry but it has rained quite well so a bit of water here. love to see this in the middle of winter. thanks Steve
