I come from a back ground of parents who loved to take photo and still very much a part of their lives and I guess you could say its rubbed off. I enjoy surfing, family life and taking photos as a Hobby. I started here on panoramio to show the world a little about my small corner of the world. I hope you enjoy the photos and come away knowing a bit more about this world we live in and how different this part of the world is to the rest of Europe and most other parts of the world. I have turned the camera back 34 years with a D600 full frame camera enjoying it. Current lens FYI Nikon 50mm F1.4 G Nikon 105mm F2.8 G Nikon 24-120mm F4 G Nikon 70-200mm F4 G Samyang 14mm F2.8 still enjoy helping other to enjoy photography as well. NO MORE INVITES TO NEW GROUPS I DON'T HAVE THE TIME ANY MORE, NOT UNLESS I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND YOUR GROUP IS JUST UP MY ALLY, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MEET WITH REJECTION.

A real beauty Herb. I'm not at all surprised at its attraction for you.

Best wishes and have a good weekend,

A lovely shot Herb. like

Best wishes, Andy

Herb it is 148 shots at 35sec and a delay of 5 sec all done on a manual timer and as you say lots of time and 149 shots( one black). i had to sit there walk about and look for some more shots when it finished to pass the time. why you have two camera's why D600 will now always stay if i ever get another body. Star Stax allows you to over lay all the shots as one. the trick is having some reality in the shot to make it all work. the tree and city worked well my horizontal shot was the test shot. i am glad i took the chance to try cloud or not. thanks Steve

Herb this would have to be one of the best it is as you say i was lucky the clouds held back the light of Tauranga from affecting the milky way TOO much. this shows the coloured part of the milky way i have in another shot the other end with the pot same tree other end. i did not expect to get this lucky. so it is big like from me as well. i would like to do a panorama of the whole milky way on my to do list. thanks Steve

Frank T. Schmelz Thank you Frank for such glowing compliments and YSL ~ All the best ~ nick
