Photos by shanghaielectricbox : on the map, in Google Earth (KML)

Le projet "Shanghai electric box" part d'un questionnement sur le rapport que nous pouvons entretenir au lieu d'exposition. Ayant un travail artistique lié à l'espace urbain comment diffuser nos images hors des lieux conventionnels d'exposition. L'utilisation de panoramio permet cette diffusion, mes photographies se noyant dans la foule de celles réalisées par autant d'anonymes sur google earth. Les boîtiers électriques viennent s'introduire entre des monuments et des bâtiments plus ou moins importants. J'invite le spectateur, utilisateur, visiteur à m'envoyer des images de boitiers électriques aux couleurs militaires photographiés dans shanghai avec leur localisation sur shanghaielectricbox@gmail.com pour qu'il puisse participer au développement de cette collection d'images.

"Shanghai electric box" project began with a question about artist relationship with exhibition place. Having an artistic work linked with urban space, how to show our pictures out of conventional exhibition space. Using panoramio give us this opportunity to brodcast our pictures mixed with many others photographs made by anonymous people. Electric boxes are inserted between monuments and more or less important buildings. I invite the viewer to sent me photographs of military colored electric boxes they have seen in shanghai with their localisation on shanghaielectricbox@gmail.com to participate in the project and to be involved in the growing up of this picture collection
