As a native Kansan, I invite you to visit and enjoy the Heartland of America. I grew up in a small Kansas farming community, lived in the Kansas City metro for more than 20 years and now live in Jefferson City, Missouri. Please browse my photos and maybe you'll find something you didn't know existed. Maxine

Poor buffalo, I feel sorry for him!

Michele - the information in my comment is from the commemorative plaque by the statue. I think it is great if you are a descendant of Paschal Fish. I do not have any personal or additional family information. Possibly, the local / county / state historical societies have more information. Best of luck in researching your family. Maxine

Kaylee - If you look under my Olathe tab, you will see photos of 8 of the 12 fiberglass cowboy boots that were created in 2007 called Welcome Home Cowboy Boots to celebrate Olathe's 150th birthday. You can go to the web site:http://www.kansastravel.org/olathe/olathecowboyboots.htm to see where 4 of the boots (including the ones you've found) are currently located. My photos were taken in 2007. I have no other information on where the boots are currently located.
