As a native Kansan, I invite you to visit and enjoy the Heartland of America. I grew up in a small Kansas farming community, lived in the Kansas City metro for more than 20 years and now live in Jefferson City, Missouri. Please browse my photos and maybe you'll find something you didn't know existed. Maxine

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a positive note. Maxine

You will probably find more information than you want at this web page that is dedicated to the bumblebee. Thanks for looking at my photos. Maxine

NKC Guy - Thanks for your comments and clarification. Maxine

BH - What a neat photo! With the weathered wood and clouds - it looks more like a painting than a photo. Thank you for the comments on my photos. I'm glad you stopped by. Greetings from Kansas. Maxine

Thanks, Eva, for visiting this demon! Greetings, Marilyn

This statue hold the holy water as you enter the church.

Kaw Point is in Kansas - across the river from Missouri. Kaw Point is where Lewis & Clark landed to camp (bicentennial was celebrated in 2004) as they traversed the area. There is a great little park there.

This photo is from 2007. They have set up the Field of Freedom flags -again- to celebrate July 4th. Last year, I just happened to visit at the same time as someone else who had stopped in and was playing taps. Here is another shot of Merriam Market location and here is a shot from Shawnee along Johnson Drive. Have a safe and Happy 4th. July 4th is Independence Day in the USA. Maxine
