The Boardwalk is one of Brisbane's premier restaurant and café districts. It is the site of the Boardwalk Restaurants and Cafés, built in 1988 for the 1988 World Exposition - Brisbane's World Expo '88.
Katadi Beach was rated in an international travel magazine as the third best beach in Europe. A stunning destination that can be reached by walking down 130 steps. (This view from the water)
South Bank Parklands opened in 1992. The site was the former home of World Expo 88. The parklands feature 17 hectares of gardens, lawns, and restaurants.
In the foreground the Broadwalk Building have remained since the 1988 Expo.
The Queensland Parliamentary Annex is located at the corner of George and Alice Streets and is within easy walking distance of the Brisbane CBD. Directly opposite, on the other sie of the Brisbane River, is South Bank Beach and the rest of South Bank parklands. This site was the original site of World Expo 88.
