***FIRST 6 000 000 VIEWS UP! :))) - THANK-YOU ALL*** 'A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.' - Ansel Adams 'Life without adventure is indeed no life at all' - Obie Oberholzer - great photographic chronicler of the southern African Happysadland - after Wally Onetime of Bamboo Bay Most of the time I'm not trying to make works of art but just to visually edit the world I adventure through to make images that tell it the way I see it. For those interested in that sort of thing, all pictures taken on Pentax cameras - older transparencies on a Pentax 67, a Pentax 67II, LX, SFXn and a Z-1 - digital pictures on a K10D and newer ones on a K-3 My pictures in a page: http://cestavoir.free.fr/viewer2.html?450216 There's also a different and growing selection of pictures on Flickr : http://www.flickr.com/photos/73146629@N02/

Excellent shot. You have just the right composition and timing.

I think your younger brother shared the same name as me. I was at the South School and I think you would have lived in Queen Street at the time. Strangely enough I was living in O'Connor/Willagee for a while just a few years ago. O'Connor of course did the harbour stone works in both locations, the harbour moles would have been getting extended during your time in NZ. You may remember the big Lima crane and the heavy trucks using Mill St. Certainly a small world and I enjoyed seeing the pics.
