Good memories of El Tigre Island- was at the base camp (at the Honduran Navy Base) in medical support of US Marines in '83. Remember well Blackhawk helo rides to the top (pictured) of the volcano with its panoramic views. Oh yes, remember the tarantulas, too.
i remember this place, hell of a ride 25degrees nosedown in the butt of a chinook and hard left bank laying over sideways at the pullout could see the sharks . miss this place was one of the most beautiful places i remember on the south side of hondo.

This hotel has been knocked down for new one , but recession hit and land is empty and up for sale.
