Great pickture ,scotrig.FAV&LIKE.The plane in the middle seems like two drops of whiskey on a AWACS jet, as they take off, every day from the airport Geilenkirchen-Tevern.These are almost 30 years old,but still going strong, with the old original roaring engines!Best wishes Frans.
Great pickture of a legendary jet,as a boy of 15 year i saw them ,take off from the RAF base Geilenkirchen-Tevern near the German and Dutch border. That was aboud 1960.FAV&LIKE Frans
This is the site of the new Jet Age Museum. Building will commence May 2012 and hope to be open to the public around August/September 2012.
A lot of work going on and the XM569 nose section has already been cleaned up and is on a stand at 'The Flying Shack, on the other side of the airfield (Bamfurlong Lane entrance).
