davidlbrookes's conversations

The first Cambrian Coast Express of 2007 on it's return to Machynlleth and running round the train to put it 'to bed'. 2008's trains run Monday - Friday throughout July and August to Porthmadog and back. The trains on Wednesdays and Friday will continue to Pwllheli too.

See more information on the operator's website - www.steamtrain.info/ or for the normal permanent train service see www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk

I was lucky enough to drive this locomotive later, as part of the railway's Have-A-Go weekend. It was simply brilliant.

A parking lay-by with a fantastic view along the lake and surrounded by mountains. Worth a stop at, for a few minutes!

BEWARE THE TRAFFIC ON THE MAIN ROAD THOUGH.
