Piękne miejsce, ładna uliczka!

I used to see this work of art every day a few years ago when I worked in an office nearby. I think it was to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. When it was first installed at ground level it soon became clear that it wouldn't last long like that so it was removed and the plinth was built so that the work could be re-installed as it is now. Thanks for the memories.

I learned to snorkel here in the summer of 1973, and clearly remember the narrow strip of water between the beach and the rocks.

The extensive kelp in the bay in the foreground freaked me out in 1973 and it still does!
