slaviankanedelcheva's conversations

Thank you, Christian! This tower is one of my preferred shots ever. Greetings to Germany!

Thank you, Nikos! The hotel itself is a very nice place, too.

Thank you! I used to play nearby this monument with my cousin, when she was a baby. This place is connected with very sweet memories from my childhood. Congratulations about the new president of your country Mrs Rusef! Brasil and Bulgaria are becoming sister countries.

Pomorie is a fishermen's and seamen's town and St. Nicholas is their patron-saint. This mini-chappel was one of my first impressions from this town.

Tzar Simeon Str. leads to the main entrance of Burgas Central Beach Area.

Special stone staircase connects the bridge (built in 1936) with the Seaside casino and the panoramic alley of the park. In the 1980s the old wooden construction was replaced by a massive pier, a favorite place for walks. Each year on January 6 is being performed an Epiphany ritual on the pier. The Bishop throws a cross in the sea and swimmers compete - who will succeed to take it out of the water.

The unique frescoes inside were painted by the famous Bulgarian artists Gyudzhenov and Kozhuharov whose work are the frescoes in St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral in Sofia.

This S-shaped apartment building was named 'Krastavitsata' - 'The Cucumber" - by Burgas residents; it is situated on the former Karl Marx Blvd. (now Demokratsia Blvd.).

Burgas residents named this stage 'Ohlyuva' ('The Snail').

In Socialist era this was an orphanage; now the former owner lives in. In the past the entire fencing was wrapped in wisteria - it is still alive and growing.
