THere is a proposed clearcut that will impinge upon the vista of Wallace Falls State Park, the Singletary Clear Cut. Please let the governor of the state of washington know how you value Wallace Falls State Park. THis is posted June 7 2015 and the timber sale auction is any day now.
This is along the trail to Lake Isabelle. THis area is also known as the Manke Lumber Parcels. This area is within an area that will be clearcut unless the citizens speak up. This is in an area that is needed for the growing urban population. Please let the governor know that you supoort the preservation of the forest for hiking.
We hiked out this trail the other day. Many know the area as the former Manke Lumber Property. It appears that timber sales are pending along the trail. If you support hiking trails close to urban centers, Please let the governor of the state of washington know.
This forest is at the base of the slope below the former Manke Lumber Parcel. This is an area that can provide overflow hiking trails for Wallace Falls State Park or, we can just log it. I see the pressure for more foot trails for the growing urban population. THere are other forests that can be harvested that are no along a primary highway corridor and readily available for the urban population that wants fresh air.
The state of washington is proposing to clear cut along new trails being built at Wallace Falls State Park, it is time to notify the governor of the state of washington to have the Singletary Clearcut postponed and the appropriate changes in the state park boundarys be done prior to timber harvesting. Contact the governor of the state of washington if you can see the forest for the trees. Thanks,

From the good old days when we could climb El Castillo. There used to be an ambulance parked in the shade of the trees watching the stairs.
And, there are many days I wish I was sitting on the floor with some Kadavu Kava having high tides
