Lewis is indeed at times wild, in many places very beautiful, and in general pretty wet and windy, Amelia. But the moors help absorb the excess water - an advantage, I suppose, in not being overly farmed, or put under tarmac... :) Recently our (moderate) precipitation has been in 'solid' form - personally I would have preferred pre-shovelled, but that's an old git's viewpoint :)
