What a great place to be L
Eduardo - While the news from Google this week has saddened so many of us, I actually gave up on the site 2 years ago when 'they' changed the forum and so many of the community-enhancing features, which all made accessing and sharing so much more difficult. It was clear google really had no understanding of Panoramio and its potential. This weekend as I've done a 'take-out' of my photos in preparation for deleting my account when it is forced to move to 'Views' I've thought back to the magical interactive community you and Juan created with the simple interface and easy communication, wishing there could be a return to the old days. Your little site made HUGE changes in many of our lives. Deep friendships spanning continents have formed and continue, and several who started posting shots taken with their little pocket point and shoot when they discovered Panoramio have developed into professional photographers, thanks to the opportunities and encouragement found on Pan.
Here's hoping a little miracle can occur, but even if not, offering deep gratitude for all that your baby Panoramio contributed to so many.
Hi Waldo Just letting you know a) that i still check your gallery and b) that i had some information to answer Ray's query (courtesy of Cindy55 in Australia).
I think your last comment is accurate based on some of the photos I've seen on View . Also heard from another Pano that Google already created an account for him because he was a G+ member. Read elsewhere that belonging to G+ means authorizing them to use any photos you upload to the cloud and even if they are in your cell phone! I find the last hard to believe but maybe should not be surprised - as one person commented in the forum its awful 1984ish +
I think it doesn't matter where he comes from.... he seems better of in Paris.
