I love hiking, nature and photography. There is nothing like a day out exploring and enjoying the treasures of this planet. I will shortly be making a selection of my best photos available to buy as fine art prints on Fine Art America and a number of my images can be licenced via stock photography agency Alamy, great for illustrating travel magazines, brochures and websites - see my website for further details.

Not an authentic 'stone circle', but a modern 'fabrication' I fear!
I've lived beside the Don for many years, know some parts of it very well and decided it was high time I got to know the rest of it! This should be an absorbing little project and it would be great to get a complete photographic record of the route (especially if I can find more places where Panoramio people haven't been yet!). Thanks for the warning about the stalking season, I will certainly bear that in mind.
Found, liked and voted! Good luck! Ciao, Roberto

Good luck in contest!~
I don't think this beautiful area is very well known by visitors, certainly not from abroad. It's so lush and green with gentle hills and this lake and sandy beach. The campground is just a bit further ahead and a great place to stay in for a few nights.
This was such an incredibly hot day that even staying in the water to cool off did not work and the hot wind would dry you in an instant. But it is such an oasis in this arid desert region and there were hardly any other people on the beach.
There is nothing like a clear blue sky winter day to get the snow shoes out for a hike and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Panoramas are great for capturing the space and sweeping mountains views on Upper Kananaskis Lakes. This is such a beautiful place with wonderful hikes for any ability at any time of year.
