Looks like "Avatar" was patterned after this. Very impressive and a remarkably good photo.

Note for AlexFE: The Oil Sands are not all that destructive. True it is they have been bleeding oil into the river for thousands of years, that is how the existence of oil sands came to be known.

It is a natural oil spill on a vast scale. Human caused oil spills must be cleaned to prevent contaminating adjacent waterways. This oil spill is natural, but it is adjacent to a waterway and so it really ought to be cleaned. I am delighted that SunCor and SynCrude have decided to clean all that sand. Naturally, the oily sand nearest the river ought to be cleaned first and it appears that is what is happening. Even so, I'd be happier if the upgraders were farther from the river.

A byproduct of all that cleaning is oil, some of which might be helping generate the electricity that we are using, right now, to communicate electronically.
