I don't do "Arty" photographs, just snapshots that take my fancy, or places to which I've been (as an aide memoir (The older I get the more clearly I remember the events that never happened))

the disco kid's conversations

This photo has had the most hits of all my pictures .. I can't understand why .. a short lived cargo vessel of a small line, way up the River Plate.

This is the earliest established CL still in operation. Started 1955 ..

We first visited in 1968 (Landrover Series 1 80" and 14' Knowsley.

This find is a gem. I was an Air frame mechanic with 206 Squadron in 1957 and topped up 500 flying hours in this aircraft during the Christmas Island Nuclear Tests. The photo was taken on an open day. One exploring youngster activated all the fire extinguisher, I had to replace them.

Can anyone give the source of this photograph please? I would like to use it in my autobiography.
