Ian @ Wilmar's conversations

I was on the same train in May 2007, not awfully sure of the date, but it was a very damp and grey Scots misty day! A friend and I stayed B&b in Mallaig a coupla nights. The engine pulling your train was probably this one, am i correct Ian @ Wilmar??

Your photo is well worth getting a sooty face for, well done!!

I thought I'd done well with 17,000 views of one of my Grand canyon photos. But 44,000! I live in Wales, UK. I'll send this pic to my neighbours; let them see what the other Wales is like. Ian

What a lovely photo! I was just commenting to my wife that, having lived just behind the Castle for five months (she's lived here for years) and despite passing it on foot most days, I've yet to turn up the track and have a proper look. Your photos have convinced me to make a determined effort. Ian

Robert Service, "Poet of the Yukon", was sent here in 1876 to be brought up by his Aunt Jenny. Robert was two at the time; he was returned to his family on Glasgow at age nine.

"Reward, Dear Lord, Thy Weary Son. May he be blest With peace and rest For wake again," Amen. RS

Wow! That's a wonderful shot. I'm a huge fan of RWS and have made a study of his life. You can see photos of his other houses on my Panoramio area. I must visit Dawson one day! Cheers! Ian

Que lugar fantastic..

No worries Chris! Thanks for spotting that. I took 'hunners' of photos on that trip. It was easy to get confused. At the time I visited St Kilda, the archipelago on Google earth was in low res and under heavy cloud. Posotioning these was a nightmare. Cheers! Ian

Muchas gracias! Ian
